Our offices are located in the centre of Acomb allowing us to be a part of the community we serve. We offer care in Acomb, Woodthorpe, Rufforth and Poppleton and pride our selves on offering quality care to the local community.
Wetherby Home Care was established by Jim and Julie Brady in 2014. In the beginning Wetherby Home Care was a small operation run from their family home, Priding itself on offering quality care to its clients. As word spread of Wetherby Home Care and the pride its staff took in maintaining Jim and Julies standard of care, the company steadily began to grow.
In 2016 Wetherby Home Care relocated to Acomb . We felt to provide a high standard of Home Care in York our offices needed to be to closer to our clients and their families and to have more space for training. York Road has been our home ever since.
Two years on and with Katie as Assistant Manager Wetherby Home Care continues to develop. We see a bright future ahead and aim to ensure our local community gets the best quality of care possible.
All our are Staff are trained in accordance with the CQC requirements and given ongoing support and training to develop their skills in every area of care. Allowing them to provide high quality personal care promoting dignity and respect.
Our office team can order prescriptions and liaise with doctors on behalf of clients. We are also able to arrange to have prescriptions delivered to clients homes by one of our team.
We can offer a variety of household services to help you with your daily living needs.This can include shopping, light cleaning duties, laundry and preparing meals. We are happy to discuss any other requirements and will always do our best to accommodate them.

We offer our care staff a wide range of training including NVQs through our in house NVQ assessor. We feel its important to offer full support and guidance to our staff when they are delivering care, so we ensure there is someone on hand to answer their questions even when the office is closed.

We recently celebrated Rachael reaching two years service to the company. We are glad to have her as part of our team and look forward to having her with us for many years to come.
We have recently had our inspection by the CQC and we are delighted to have been rated as GOOD in all 5 categories.
The categories on which we are rated are are we SAFE, EFFECTIVE, CARING, RESPONSIVE and WELL LED. This is a tribute to the hard work, professionalism and caring nature of our staff

When staff join Wetherby Home Care if they are new to care they undertake an induction course that leads to a qualification known as the Care Certificate. This is the entry level qualification that covers such items as Safeguarding, Infection Control, Administration of Medication and many other topics. After that, if they wish, they can undertake the NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care. Wetherby Home Care fund this training for our staff as we wish to support their development in Care.
